Boss Carmen Kamikado

A Classically trained Japanese-Australian Dominatrix based in Sydney/Eora exploring Erotic Maximalism + the Anatomy of Gender Performativity through BDSM & FemDom.

I examine cultural anxieties surrounding the ‘Monstrous Feminine’ by embodying archetypes that haunt & threaten the collective patriarchal imagination.

神門カルメン様

Having spent My early childhood sprawled across tatami reading Japanese horror fables in My grandmother’s countryside home— situated between a rice field and a graveyard, no less— I emerged fixated on all things Gothic & Macabre.

Japanese folklore warns of obscene demons masquerading as sweet & approachable women; from cunning animals disguised as the girl-next-door, to murderous femme-fatale cannibals hiding their awful gaping mouths under surgical masks & feminine wiles.

In these folktales, the following themes appear in repetition:

1) Women are not what they say they are

2) Femininity is untrustworthy, unstable & treacherous; doubly dangerous for its maddening allure

3) ‘Womanhood’ as we know it is ultimately a farce; an elaborate performance driven by ambition, ulterior motives or evil entities

I relish in the juiciness of these suspicions & accusations.

What better arena to explore the ‘Monstrous Feminine’ than a dynamic BDSM scene?

BDSM is, to Me, an odyssey through My special interests, favourite myths & most unhinged fantasies.
